Homemade cleaning products are a safe and natural alternative to the industrial versions that you can find in supermarkets, in addition to being more economical and respectful with the environment. How can you make your own consignment?

  • Glass cleaner. Mix equal parts in a spray bottle water and white vinegar. Add some lemon drops and stir the resulting substance. Spray on the crystals and then rub with newspaper to shine.

  • Disinfectant. Pour water into a spray bottle and add eight to ten drops of tea tree. Shake and let it rest for at least 24 hours. It is perfect for the bathroom due to its antibacterial properties.

  • Oven cleaner. In a bowl, mix a quarter cup of baking soda and two teaspoons of salt. Add half a cup of water and stir until you get a very doughy dough. Then, rub it on the walls of the oven, let it act for a few minutes and remove the product.

  • Degreaser. Combine a liter of hot water with two tablespoons of mild soap, a tablespoon of baking soda, a splash of white vinegar and the zest of a lemon. Before using it, let the ingredients blend for a few minutes.

  • Dishwasher. In this case, three tablespoons of grated white soap, three liters of water, half a cup of vinegar and the juice of one lemon are enough.

Lemon is good against limescale

One of the main problems of dirty faucets is hard water that leaves lime stains. They can be removed using half a lemon or applying vinegar with a cotton ball or cloth. You simply have to rub the stained areas and persist where there is more lime accumulation.

If you wash by hand, apply the fabric softener like this

If you wash your clothes by hand, you also have to use fabric softener. In this case, it is applied after rinsing the soap. That is, do the usual hand wash and rinse the garment. Then put it back in water with fabric softener. Rinse, drain, and let it dry. It is important that you know that the fabric softener alone does not need rinsing.

As it accumulates a lot of dust, it becomes a must to clean the radiators before turning them on. If they are very dirty, you must remove the dust with the vacuum cleaner. Then put a feather duster inside and moisten a cloth with warm water and liquid soap. When it is well drained, clean the exterior of the radiator and dry it immediately.

To make your windows look impeccable, you can make your own glazing kit consisting of a strip, a sponge, a microfiber cloth, a spray bottle and dish soap. First wet the sponge in water and a few drops of detergent, drain and soak the glass. With the power strip, remove the excess water and with the cloth you should go drying little by little. If you want them to be perfect, clean them better on a cloudy day than sunny.
